a small ship, a long fall, and what waits between the stars
off: a hostile close by, or a stranger closing, hands you the ship. on: the autopilot flies on with company about; being hit still hands you the ship.

every second, log the forces on the ship, the thrust applied and how far the plotted trajectory was off (console, log tab, fly screen).
auto: 60 frames a second when something is happening, 30 when all is calm. 30 always spares the fans and the battery.
fewer pixels for the sky: lighter on the machine, a little softer. the words and the gauges stay sharp.
